How Mend The Gap Works
Donors Make Cashless Donations
Using a phone app, donors make direct, cashless donations toward shelter and support.
Recipients Have ID Cards with QR Codes
Homeless individuals receive a card with their photo ID and unique QR code to access their donation balances.
Redemption at Partner Shelters
QR codes are scanned at shelters and partners to receive support, with ID verification.
Direct Fund Transfer
Funds transfer directly to partners from the recipient's profile, with hostel costs up to £18 per night. Any funds exceeding the hostel fee will be used for other types of support.
